Gulf Investment Fund plc gives exposure to emerging investment opportunities and positive fundamental factors in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region that have not yet been priced in by the market. The fund invests in quoted equities in the region as well as companies soon to be listed.
The Gulf Cooperation Council region comprises: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Gulf stock markets were hit hard by the market crash and the plunge in oil prices provoked by the impact of Covid 19 pandemic earlier this year. GCC markets fell 33% at one point and have since risen 20% from their lows. Oil dipped to $19 a barrel in April, although as global economic activity restarts, Brent is now trading around $40.
